Pre-Father's Day: Making Time to be Present

Father's day is quickly approaching and I want to dedicate this blog post to my husband because he is an amazing father to our son:

From the moment you held our son for the first time, it was evident that fatherhood came naturally to you. You were attentive to him and immediately able to distinguish his cries from the other babies in the hospital.  When we brought Avery home and he would cry for what seemed like an eternity during the first few weeks, we would take turns singing and dancing with him in attempts to calm him. Many times, it was your chest Avery fell asleep on after he finally stopped crying.

I believe the most important thing a father can do for his child is to be present and devote quality time to his family. No matter how tired you are after work, you always have energy to play with and read to him.

Actions speak louder than words and you have made it clear that we are your top priority.  You wake up to feed Avery in the middle of the night on the days we both have to work and you allow me to rest a little longer. You often tell me that Avery and I are your motivation to excel at work each day because you want to provide the best life possible for your family.
You are a provider, protector, problem solver/counselor and LOVER. We thank you for showing up for us every day!

In honor of father's day, I gifted my husband this zebrawood & dark sandalwood watch and I've partnered with JORD to host a giveaway!
