In Living Color

Happy Holidays! This is an outfit I wore last month but never got a chance to post. I found this blouse in Marshalls and bought it because I was attracted to the way the colors merge with one another. I'm a lover of flared hems, so when I saw this skirt on Asos.com (one of my favorite stores), I knew I needed it in my closet (I also have it in purple). My clutch is one of those pieces that I don't wear very often but it comes in handy from time to time. As I have to you before, I am a lover of animal print. So when I walked into Aldo earlier in the year and saw these shoes, I couldn't resist buying them.

Feeling Churchy

Hey everyone! I wore this outfit to church about a month ago but never got a chance to shoot in it, so here it is! Ladies, just because church style is expected to be modest does not mean that we have to sacrifice our style.

I love the little details in this outfit like the stitching of my top, the faux leather panels of my skirt, and the animal print on my watch.

Air Pegasus '83

Hello! I hope you had a great weekend. I spent most of mine writing final papers. This outfit features some of  the comfiest clothes in my closet. I'm wearing my trusty camel coat, sweater from H&M, skirt from Ann Taylor Loft, and a pair of my favorite sneakers.
When I first started college, I hardly wore sneakers. However, my style has changed since then and I developed some foot problems, so sneakers now make more appearances in my outfits. These  Air Pegasus '83s have definitely become my favorite sneaker ever! They are so comfortable and make me feel like I'm walking on cushions.

Dots of Color

Happy Monday! I hope you had a great Thanksgiving. The past few days have been gloomy so I wanted to wear something bright when the sun finally decided to shine. I stepped in H&M one day and was immediately attracted to this peplum top because of the dots of color. I also love that peplum is universally flattering on all women.

I love this camel coat because it matches so many things. I this coat in Marshall's a few years ago and it has been a staple in my fall/winter wardrobe ever since.

These pumps are some of the most comfortable heels in my closet. I could literally wear them for hours and I often do. If you're on a college budget like me, Coach shoes may be considered an investment because they are worth every penny. Thankfully I found these shoes on sale (I rarely pay full price for shoes)!

Elevate your Sweats!

Remember the days when people only wore sweats when they were in a hurry to get dressed, worked out, or just felt plain old lazy? Well those days are no more! I love this Peter Pilotto for Target Collection sweatshirt because I can dress it down with leggings or jeans on days when I want to be extra comfy, or pair it with a skirt and heels for a different look. I wore this outfit a couple weekends ago.
You know those things that you wear for a time and then forget about for years? This skirt is one of them. I was cleaning out my closet this summer when I came across it and decided that I liked it again. lol This is why it's good to go shopping in your closets every once in a while! Needless to say, I decided that it was good enough to wear this fall.
The big kid in me decided to play at the park, because you can't go to the playground and not play!

Black and a Floppy Hat

This is a continuation of  the previous post. I eventually threw on my trenchcoat over my outfit for warmth because was quite chilly and windy! As you can see from some of my previous posts, I like wearing color. However, I love wearing black. Black has always been one of my staple colors (along with grey and navy). I dress up in black, I dress down in black, sometimes I wear black for days. Wearing black has never failed me.

I've had this hat for a couple years but I hardly ever wear it. Why? 1. I have to be in the mood to wear it (which doesn't happen often). 2. I have natural hair (a lot of it!) and my hair is hard to fit under hats.

I have had this trench coat for years and it always serves me well. I personally think that a trenchcoat should a staple in everyone's wardrobe.

I don't wear jewelry often, but when I do, I like to wear pieces that make a subtle statement. I like that this necklace stands out without being overpowering.
