Working for Change: Wrap Top and Wide Leg Jeans

If there is one thing I have learned about living through these current times is that change won't come by simply waiting for it. You have to ask for it, demand it, pray for it, and be relentless in your fight to see it happen! This applies to social justice, your career, and relationships.

This week at work, a  college hire was asking me for some career advice and my biggest tip was to advocate for yourself. One thing I have learned is that people treat you how you allow them. No one will know you have a problem if you don't tell them! So if you are living in a situation you don't like (personal or professional), a situation you have the power to change, then do something about it!

Only What you Water will Grow

Imagine what you could accomplish if you lived up to your potential every single day. What would happen if you stopped falling into lazy habits and allowed fear to motivate you instead of hindering your progress? Remember that potential means nothing without action.
Only what you water will grow! That applies to yourself, relationships, skills, finances, career and the list goes on. I believe that many of the blessings I'm basking in now are the products of seeds I planted years ago and nurtured with prayer, faith and perseverance.

If you planted a seed and have yet to reap a harvest, keep watering it. Good things take time to form and sometimes the biggest and best things happen for us after we break through the soil of the struggles that we persevered through. Just because you don't see a flower doesn't mean the plant is not growing beneath the soil.
There are things I invested time into that I have yet to see flourish because I wasn’t consistent about nurturing those passions and skills. This quarantine has challenged me to find time to devote towards things I love, things I hope to see grow in the weeks, months and years to come.
Style: I originally bought this satin dress dress to wear to church, but since the church buildings remain closed I wore it outside for a walk. Because these days, we get dressed up to stay local!
