Position Yourself for a Power Move

Your posture while in your current position determines your outcome:

  • Are you complaining when things are not going your way or are you are seeking to learn the lessons that come from each obstacle?
  • Does doubt creep up when you’ve been praying for a miracle and don’t see it come to pass?
  • Do you believe that everything happens according to God’s plan, which has a different timeline than your plan?
The best way to position yourself for a power move is to stay focused on your goal.  Block out distractions, negative behaviors, and be willing to learn all the lessons this stage of life is teaching you.
Right before you have a breakthrough, you will endure a series of challenges. Those challenges may come in the form of added pressure in your life on top of the pressure you already feel on a daily basis. Maybe it's being forced to deal with negative people who don’t want to see you succeed.

Or the challenge is your high quality and impactful work in an organization that’s being taken for granted and you feel like no matter how hard you work, how many processes you improve, and how many lives your work changes for the better, your superiors overlook your accomplishments and pass you over when promotion time comes around.

As easy as it is to feel discouraged and give up, remember that remaining diligent in your work and having the right spirit will always be rewarded by God in the end. So, while you are waiting on your breakthrough, stay steadfast in prayer and positive activities and distance yourself from negativity. When your mind is clear and centered on progress, you'll know the difference between giving up and moving on and will be able to confidently move in the right direction at the right time.
So as you position yourself for a power move, try thanking God in advance for the miracles He is bringing to pass in your life. Have you ever tried to praise God and complain at the same time? It’s impossible! When you’re caught up in counting your blessings and expressing gratitude, it's impossible to get sucked into negativity. Staying positive, prayed up, and putting in the work will reap powerful results in due season.
