Magic happens when women join forces and support each other. Desiree and I met an event in October and it was great energy and style at first sight. She was wearing a fabulous black faux fur coat (I always remember good outfits) and I felt compelled to step out of my usually introverted shell to tell her how amazing she looked. Later on we started discussing fashion and blogging and we decided that we would produce some black girl magic by collaborating. Since we're both Jersey girls, we decided to meet up in Jersey in my hometown of Irvington. Desiree's younger sister graciously photographed our outfits and we all had so much fun! Our time together was nothing but talking, laughing, being silly and lots of positive energy. Hence why we don't have many pictures with serious faces. Desiree is truly a kindred spirit and I'm grateful for our friendship and mutual support of one another. We decided to style ourselves in denim and faux fur because it was freezing outside, but looking cute and being comfortable is equally as important as staying warm. I treated myself to this coat during Asos's black Friday sale and I am ecstatic about my purchase. I went into the holiday season trying not to spend too much money but there are things I can't resist and you know I have a weakness for clothing... So expect me to see me stuntin' in this coat often. I have no shame in wearing the same thing multiple times especially if the thing happens to be faux fur, which is basically an instant confidence booster and dose of fabulous in one. Also, expect to see more collaborations here in the future. I'm claiming that 2017 is going to be a fruitful year and I plan on having lots of great experiences and sharing even more style with you.
