Quarantine Reads

We’re four months into 2020 and COVID-19 and still plaguing our world. It is strange to live through a time where we must stay at home as much as possible to stay alive and reduce the spread of the virus. It’s easy to get bored and have cabin fever while spending some much time at home so here are a few #quarantinereads to keep you occupied while at home:

1. The Bible has a word for every need and its words help me navigate life.

2. Draw the Circle by Mark Batterson is a 40 day prayer challenge that I started re-reading for the second time a couple weeks ago. This book is life changing.

3. More than Enough by Elaine Welteroth  is full of gems. She reminded me to stand up for what I believe in and assert myself in the workplace because I'm an asset to my team.

4. Shoe Dog by Phil Knight shares the grit and determination of the founder behind the brand we know as Nike. He is remarkable.

5. Americanah by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is the first book I read by the author and made me fall in love with her writing.

6. Becoming by Michelle Obama gave me a closer look into the life of the first lady we love.

I used to be able to read several books a month and finish a book within days. Then I became a full time working mom who can never seem to carve out enough quality time for myself and it takes me weeks, sometimes months to get through one book. So if I'm being honest, it will take me months to finish reading all these books but I love to read! Who can relate?
